It’s that time of year again! We are about to make the transition into the year to come but before getting there, the MaxFit team (everyone who was in town that is) got together for a great little Christmas party where we shared a potluck of home cooked dishes and lots of good chats. Speaking of good chats, take the time this holiday season to connect with family and friends, catch up on their lives and make sure they learn about yours. There is no substitute for real connection with those we care about.
Since MaxFit believes that no party is complete without giving back to the community, we also collected food donations for the SHARE Food Bank. Every community has increased needs this time of year, and not only, so if you have a chance, please arrange that your office party donates who have less or at all. ‘Tis the season to be giving and to remember that the joy often comes from giving rather than receiving. It is easy to overlook the troubles our communities are facing, and while we hope too see things get better in the new year, let’s all remember that approximately 18 percent of children in BC live under in poverty. Which is why anything helps, so if you can, please do so.
From our Maxfit family to yours, we wish a very wonderful holiday season and great New Year! May your new beginnings be filled with wonderful adventures, injury-free of course, and do consider joining in on our outdoors adventures if you haven’t yet. We promise you will have fun!
PS: Do not forget to get outside and play, there is an overwhelming amount of processed foods out there that you will be loading up on and there is little to no incentive to exercise. Worry not though, we will put together a good list with tips on how to deal with the winter (possible) overload and how to not step into the new year bloated and feeling unhappy with yourself.
