We hope that you all are doing well and making the best of each day under these uncertain circumstances. We all need to adapt to the new situation, but the best we can all do to help is to stay home as much as possible and observe physical distancing. At the same time, we hope that you continue to stay active to ensure personal well-being, both physical and mental.
Based on the information we presently have from public health authorities, our clinic is designated an essential service. We will therefore continue to be open for emergency medical situations. Your health and safety are our main concern. The office is sanitized based on the directive from the public health. We are also following the guidelines for maintaining the safe distance.
The following is our present protocol for the next two weeks:
- Our physiotherapists will not see any patients in the clinic. However, our physiotherapist Stephanie McCann is set up for doing virtual consult and tele-rehabilitation/video conferencing through Physio-Track. If you have approved ICBC physio visits that have not been used up, you may take advantage of it through the online platform. Please contact the office or Stephanie to set these up. Also, we now understand that most third-party billings (i.e. Blue Cross, GWL, Sunlife etc.) have approved tele-rehab given the present situation. We encourage you to check directly on that with your individual provider.
- Our massage therapists will also not see any patients at this time based on the recommendation from their regulatory college.
- We are offering emergency chiropractic care and rehab therapy to our community on as needed basis. If you need help please contact us directly by emailing us at info@maxfitmovement.ca or call 604-461-6888 to book an appointment. We will try our best to reply as soon as we are able to due to limited office staff.
- Stay tuned for details: Our physiotherapists are willing to host a complimentary online zoom meeting in the near future to demonstrate how to practice Pilates at home. Please feel free to email us if interested.
We also ask that if you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, coughing, sore throat, common cold or just unwell please do not try to book any appointments currently. Also, if you have been exposed to a covid-19 situation, please isolate yourself to make sure you have not contracted the virus.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated.
In the meantime take care of yourselves, of each other and trust that we will get through this. Together. Keep moving as much as you can but with physical distancing in mind.
Stay well, active and hopeful,
Your MaxFit Team
