In order to increase your athletic performance and help you avoid injury, or help you break into new sports, we can conduct a complete biomechanical evaluation and create a plan to help you integrate sustainable movement into your lifestyle. In other words, we will look at how you sit, stand, walk, and run. We will ask about where and how you sleep and after identifying what needs to be corrected, we will design a plan to make it happen. Here’s how:
Most running injuries are caused by poor technique or specific weakness. Conducting an analysis that is specific to running can identify both. We can assess running technique for any level of athlete, from competitive to recreational, from national team to new runner. Both live and video recorded running will allow us to examine your dynamic posture and running mechanics and make recommendations for adjustments.

A lot rests on your feet. Your whole body in fact! Unless you are resting, the feet are in constant motion and under constant pressure. Your entire body weight lands on your feet up to 15,000 times a day. It is estimated that 75 percent of the population will experience foot-related problems at some point in their lives. Problems with your feet result in subtle changes in the way you walk and can cause a chain reaction of adjustments in your posture and movement mechanics. Proper orthotics can solve many of these problems.
Our gait analysis includes
- Casting and a computerized system that captures the motion and timing of your foot throughout the gait cycle for assessment.
- 2D and 3D graphic images of your feet are generated and analyzed
- Diagnostic software to create a prescription for custom orthotics which will help restore normal balance and alignment of your body by correcting foot abnormalities
Custom orthotics prescription design
Should you suffer from pain or discomfort caused by foot and ankle chronic or acute injuries, or if your walking is affected by arthritis, we can help by providing you with custom-designed orthotics. These are tri-dimensional inserts that are placed in your shoe and help ease pain and/or discomfort and also help stabilize foot alignment
